Born on September 12, 1939, in Tucson, Arizona, Jack lived a long, full, and adventurous life—one marked by deep love, quiet strength, and a steady devotion to the people who called him husband, Dad, Grandpa, and friend.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn (Kitty) Mullins, who remained by his side through every chapter of their life together. He leaves behind a large and loving family who were his pride and joy: Andrew (Yara) Mullins, Jill (Gaylon) Baumgardner, James Mullins, Jeff (Carol) Neal, Jerry Tan Mullins, Paul Oubre, and Rebecca (John) Valentine.
He was a devoted grandfather to Gabriela Mullins, Maxwell Mullins, Carlyn Burgett, Kaylie Mullins, Griffin Neal, Hunter Neal, Keegan Murphy, Tanner Oubre, Zackary Oubre, and Hailey Oubre, and a doting great‑grandfather to four great‑grandchildren who brought him endless smiles.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Mullins and Loretta Bernice Lawson Mullins, his sister Jeanettea Statts, and his grandson Justin Shotts. We take comfort knowing he is reunited with them now.
After proudly serving in the U.S. Navy, Jack went on to work in the copper mine in San Manuel, Arizona. His career later carried him into the petroleum industry, where he worked and lived around the world, creating memories and friendships that lasted a lifetime. No matter how far his travels took him, Jack’s heart was always at home with his family.
Jack will be remembered for his resilience, his humor, and the gentle way he cared for those he loved. One of his greatest joys was playing Santa every Christmas, delighting his children, grandchildren, and anyone lucky enough to witness the magic he brought to the season. His laughter, his twinkling eyes, and his generous spirit made those moments unforgettable.
He had a gift for making people feel welcome—whether through a story, a laugh, or simply his steady presence. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
He will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten.
