Cliff has been in the funeral & cemetery industry since 1999. He starting working part-time mowing lawns for a cemetery during high school and has worked his way up to the position of General Manager. He recently relocated from Washington State to Queen Creek with his wife and daughter. He loves spending time with his family, rooting for the Seahawks (we DO hold it against him) and golfing when he has a chance.
Karoline Davidson is passionate about serving the community. After graduating from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Communications, she worked for more than a decade as a broadcast journalist. Karoline moved to Arizona with her husband in 2013 and started volunteering her time at hospice while working part-time as a home care companion for the elderly. That’s when Karoline decided to go back to school to get her Mortuary Science degree, graduating in May 2017. Karoline is a Certified Funeral Celebrant, licensed Cremationist, Embalmer, and will become a licensed Funeral Director in September 2019. When Karoline isn’t providing care, compassion and assisting grieving families, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones traveling.
Alison was born in Riverside, CA and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. After attending Brigham Young University, she lived in Colorado Springs and Littleton, CO, before moving to Mesa, AZ in 1991. She raised four sons and one daughter while also serving in PTO positions and in the children’s and youth organizations in her church. She worked at Bunker’s Garden Chapel from 2007 – 2014 and developed a love for serving families as they honor their loved ones. In April 2018 Alison graduated from Brigham Young University, completing her degree in Family Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, hiking, reading, traveling and most of all – spending time with her 11 grandchildren (and their parents).
Bryce is an Arizona boy through and through. He was born and raised in Mesa where he attended Mountain View High School. After graduation, he served a two-year service mission in Georgia. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Applied Biological Sciences and Business. Bryce is the fourth generation of his family involved in the family business. He graduated from the Mortuary Science program at Mesa Community College. Bryce and his wife, Ashley, have three beautiful children. Bryce is also a huge sports fan, particularly of the Arizona Cardinals and Phoenix Suns, but his greatest satisfaction comes from serving the special families who entrust us with caring for their loved ones.
Randy Bunker is the third generation of Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has served in the industry for over 40 years. In addition to serving as the company’s president, he has also served as the president of the Arizona Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers for 8 years, International Order of the Golden Rule, Arizona Funeral Directors Association, American Cancer Society (Mesa Chapter), Sirrine Adult Day Care Center, and has served on the Board of Directors of several other organizations. Randy has been married to his wife, Arlene, for over 40 years and has 6 children. He enjoys serving in his church, golfing, and playing racquetball.
Jen was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. After attending Madison College, she started her career in hospitality at a hotel downtown Madison and remained there for 11 years. Jen moved to Arizona in 2007 with her husband and two children. She continued her work in hotel hospitality and event centers around the East Valley, quickly falling in love with the Southwest. After the loss of her mother in 2018, she desired to help others by offering support and guidance when a loved one has passed. In her spare time, Jen enjoys volunteering in the community, jeep adventures in the mountains, traveling to new places, and spending time with her friends and growing family. Jen and her family recently celebrated the arrival of two grandchildren.
Steve was born and raised in southeastern Arizona, and moved to Mesa in 1976. After working in the retail grocery industry for years, he decided to make a career change and returned to college. Steve graduated from the Mortuary Science Program at Mesa Community College in 2004, and joined the Bunker Family in 2005. In addition to assisting families with funeral arrangements and conducting services, he manages our Garden Chapel and oversees the operations at our other locations as well. Steve has found funeral service to be extremely rewarding, assisting families with planning meaningful tributes to their loved ones and beginning the healing process.
Nicole grew up in Gilbert, Arizona and has felt drawn to funeral service and serving others since she was young. After graduating from Highland High School, Nicole began work for a local financial institution where she stayed for four years. In 2018, she decided to finally pursue her calling and enrolled in the Mortuary Science Program at Chandler Gilbert Community College and graduated in May of 2019. Nicole’s journey with Bunker’s started in March of 2019 and she has loved having the opportunity and the honor of serving families and bringing them comfort and peace during their healing process. She is proud to be a part of the Bunker team and looks forward to her future in funeral service. When Nicole is not assisting families, she enjoys spending time with her own family and her dachshund puppy, Winchester.
Michelle was born in Southbridge, Massachusetts and moved to Arizona in 1971 with her family. She graduated from Chandler High School and attended the Maricopa Technical Institute in Phoenix. Michelle worked in the retail grocery industry for many years before joining the Bunker Family in 2009. Her duties include assisting families at our Garden Chapel, and securing documents necessary for services.
Elizabeth is an Arizona native, born and raised in Mesa and resides in Gilbert with her family. She graduated from Mesa Community College in 2003 with an Associates of Applied Science in Mortuary Science Degree, and later received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Elizabeth is a license embalmer and started in the funeral service industry in 2001. She started with Bunker Family Funeral Homes in 2010 with the duty of overseeing the care center. Elizabeth feels that funeral service is her calling and finds her job very rewarding and fulfilling. She enjoys bowling on a league and spending time with her husband and two children.
Holly Blackhurst was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Mesa, Arizona as a teenager. She graduated from Mesa Mountain View High School and attended Brigham Young University. After working as a legal secretary and paralegal, she joined Bunker Family Funeral Homes as a Family Relations Associate in 1997. She currently works as our Administrator, managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll and a myriad of other duties. She enjoys reading, quilting and is a devoted aunt to 24 nieces and nephews.
Heather recently relocated to Arizona by way of Colorado and has been serving in the funeral profession since 2014. Heather received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and graduated in August 2019 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mortuary Science from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado. Heather is a first-generation, second-career funeral professional. After losing her father in 2009, Heather felt drawn to the profession to care for people and felt that her background in event management provided her with a unique skillset to plan meaningful services for families. Heather enjoys spending time with her teenage son and family, enjoys all outside activities, and is really looking forward to enjoying no snow winters.
Allen was raised in the small town of Morgan, UT. He graduated from high school and attended two years at Weber State College. Allen met his wife Loretta in 1961 and they were married later that year. They have four children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family moved to Arizona in 1979, where Allen worked for Motorola in the engineering department. Allen joined the Bunker Family in 2006. He appreciates working with families, knowing the importance of being sensitive to their needs and desires. He also enjoys his association with the other dedicated staff members. He and Loretta enjoy going to movies, camping with the grandkids, reading, and serving in their church.
