Dear Friends and Family,

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Victor Audry Gerdes Jr. of Goodyear, AZ, on December 5, 2025, at the age of 71.

Born September 29th, 1954, and raised in San Antonio, TX, to Victor Sr. and Dorris Gerdes, Victor attended school in San Antonio and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1973. An only child, he grew up with close friends whom he considered brothers.

After marrying in December 1974, Victor embarked on a distinguished 22 year career in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Electrician. Known for his diligence, ability to fix anything, and unwavering dedication to his country. He served in Desert Storm and multiple international duties before retiring at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. He continued to work on aircraft after his retirement.

Victor was a devoted husband to his wife Geneva for 51 years, a loving father, and a grandfather. His kindness, caring nature, devotion to God, and loving ways were the foundation of his family. Victor was also a passionate car enthusiast who enjoyed working on and cleaning his cars, going on long drives with his family, traveling, and listening to music.

Victor was preceded in death by his father, Victor Sr., and his mother, Dorris. He is survived by his wife, Geneva, his children, Lorie and Robert, and five grandchildren.
