Steve was born on 11/4/1970 in Moline, Illinois, son of Lois and the late Michael Fisher. He started school at Sacred Heart Catholic elementary school in Rock Island, Illinois. He began his love of sports at an early age playing Little League in Rock Island, winning the City championship.
In 1985 Steve’s parents relocated to Tempe, AZ. Steve attended Marcos De Niza High school before graduating from Gilbert High school in 1989. He also attended Mesa Community College and earned his AA degree.
Steve began his career as an Insurance Agent for Farmer’s Insurance. After 5 years he decided to open his own independent agency, The Insurance Team, and was licensed in all 50 states, quite an accomplishment.
Steve’s love for all sports lasted throughout his lifetime. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He even bowled a perfect score of 300. He was a dedicated Arizona Rattler’s indoor football fan with front row seats at every game. He also loved the Phoenix Coyotes Ice Hockey team.
Besides sports, Steve was very active in the Big Brother, Big Sisters of Central Arizona for many years. Due to his unselfish nature, he was awarded Big Brother of the Year.
Steve did not have any children of his own, but he loved MuShu and Willow, his 2 Labrador Retrievers. They were his children.
Steve shared his Mesa home with his partner Cyndi Patterson. Together they enjoyed traveling to Cancun, Spain, Italy, and France. Cyndi best described Steve as personable, vibrant, engaging, and Steve made instant friends wherever they went. Steve was generous and fun-loving.
Steve will be missed by his co-workers, friends and especially his mother Lois. He is preceded in death by his father, Mike (Fish) Fisher, his grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Steve was an organ donor and a donation was made upon his death.

Steve was an absolute delight to know. I looked forward to seeing him at all the Rattlers home games. The Calais Campbell jersey Steve gave me at our last Rattlers game will have very special meaning. Rest in Peace, Steve.
Condolences to the Fisher family. I had the privilege and honor of calling Steve my friend. His absence will be felt by many! God speed my friend!!
This is such a tragic loss to all who called him a friend. We are going to miss our bingo sessions with our families. Mom and I are sending prayers.
Thank you, Steve, for being more than just a boss, you were also a friend and a mentor. Thank you for being a grandpa to my youngest, even for a short time. I’ll miss seeing you pop into Zoom with your big smiles and endless jokes. The Insurance Team will never be the same without you. You’ve left a mark on all of us. I’m going to miss you, Big Boss. Rest in peace, Steve. Your kindness and laughter will always be remembered.
Steve was an awesome guy , we kept in touch on line over the years . We usually met once a year at the Rattlers games. He would often refer people to my business after I helped him repair his truck from an accident .
He will be missed and has been taking too soon from us .
I just still can not believe he is gone. My heart is broken. He will be missed so much and by so many people. This one just does not make sense to me. Steve rest in peace my friend, rest in peace,
I’ve known Steve for at least 10 years. We met through networking and.became friends. He had a great sense of humor and was so full of life. He loved his Rattlers and his dogs, and his mom and Cyndi. He will be missed.
So long, my friend, until we meet again.
May you rest in peace. For the short time I knew you, you were always humble, funny, and just a little more than ordinary. Always ready to laugh, yet always down to business. That’s how I’ll remember you.
Steve was a strong and kind soul. I couldn’t be more grateful for him and everything he taught us. He’s treated me like family. I’ll always feel lucky to have him as my very first client in the remote work industry. Imagine a rookie like me once worked under the Head of Service and Onboarding! He believed in me and my potential even more than I believed in myself, and that means more than words can express. I couldn’t have asked for a better boss because he truly was the best…I mean, the best! My heart goes out to everyone who loves Steve. I hope he’s found his peace.
