David Richard Parker, forever known as “Davy,” passed away suddenly on Monday, September 26, 2022. He was just 14 years old.

From the moment Davy was born he brought joy to everyone around him. He came with a spark for life that ignited and spread to anyone he came in contact with. Anywhere he went he was the brightest spot in the room. At under a year old he started showing exceptional physical ability and determination of mind. There was literally not a thing that Davy could not do. And so he did it all. Davy could join any sport and instantly be the best, but he never made a big deal of it. He was always humble and kind, encouraging those around him and showing everyone a good time. He never stopped smiling, and neither did the people who were with him.

As a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Davy was actively involved in church activities and his own personal connection with his Heavenly Father. Serving brought him joy, as he understood a key principle taught by Jesus Christ himself, which is to love others unconditionally. He made it a point to surround himself with people, with no regard to age or status. He loved them, entertained them, lifted them and encouraged them to climb higher with him. It could be said that Davy lived a full life in just 14 years by the way he utilized his time investing in every moment, working hard, setting and achieving goals, and making an incredible impact on the lives of others along the way.

Davy is survived by his parents, Jared Parker and Sarah Ercanbrack Parker, as well as his siblings, Dallin, Afton, Lindsey, and Will. A funeral will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11:00 at the church at 1865 S. Higley Rd, Gilbert, Arizona.

We are heartbroken for your family. We didn’t have the privilege of meeting Davy, but he sounds like an extraordinary young man and if he’s a Parker, then we know he was truly special! We have a son the same age, so this hits home hard. We are so sorry and send our love and prayers.
