Carlos Mireles entered into eternal rest on February 21, 2026, at the age of 46.
While our hearts are heavy with loss, we trust in God’s promise of eternal life and find peace knowing Carlos is now resting in the presence of Jesus.
The youngest of nine siblings, Carlos embraced his role with joy, and deep love for his family. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, he graduated from Irvin High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and began building a life rooted in perseverance and purpose.
With dedication and determination, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from DeVry University in Arizona and later a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Grand Canyon University. He viewed education not simply as an achievement, but as a responsibility and a reflection of his achievement and growth.
For more than twenty years, Carlos worked as an engineer. He was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and commitment to doing things the right way. His career allowed him to travel across the United States and abroad, where he encountered new cultures and experiences. In all he did, he carried himself with humility, pride and gratitude, recognizing every opportunity to learn and grow.
He loved traveling, hiking, and discovering new things. He had a curious mind and an adventurous spirit, always willing to learn and explore something new.
Carlos leaves behind his loving wife, his bestfriend Carmen; his cherished children, Ben and his wife Gabriela, Annabella, and Sebastian; and his beloved grandson, Benni, who brought him immeasurable pride and joy. He was a devoted brother and uncle whose presence strengthened and united his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Petra Esparza and Jose Mireles, whom welcomed him with open arms.
He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Joe & Patty Mireles, Elvira Valles, Alex & Patty Mireles, Ricardo & Veronica Mireles, Victor & Bertha Anchondo, Luis & Leticia Mireles, Rick Lewis & Susie Mireles, Johnny & Marisol Mireles, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though we grieve his absence, we do not grieve without hope. As Scripture reminds us,
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” We hold tightly to God’s promises and trust that Carlos has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Carlos’ legacy of love, faith, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in all who were blessed to know him. Until we meet again, we rest in the assurance that he is at peace in the arms of our Savior.

Carlos, I will miss you ever so dearly. When I first met you 6 months ago, I immediately felt a sincere friendship. I always looked forward to Carmen dropping you off at my house on our way to work. I was honored that you and I would converse about our love for family before we picked up the other riders.
The day we went to lunch after we came back to work after the holidays, I will always remember that as a special time with you.
God Bless you My Friend.
Jimmy
To my little brother, Charlie,
Growing up as your big sister was one of the greatest honors of my life. You were my partner in crime, my friend, and my little shadow. We went everywhere together, and those memories will stay in my heart forever.
I will miss you more than words can ever express. My heart aches that we were not ready to say goodbye, but I know this is not truly goodbye — it’s simply until we see each other again.
Please rest now with Mom and Dad, and continue to watch over all of us from above. I promise to always be there for Carmen, Ben, Bella, and Sebastian. They will never walk this life alone. We will keep loving them and protecting them the way you would.
You were the baby of our family, number nine, and you will always be the missing piece of our hearts. But the love, laughter, and strength you gave us will live on forever.
We promise to continue your legacy, to live life to the fullest just like you did, and to always remember what mattered most to you — faith, love, and family. You had a special way of bringing all of us together, and that gift will never be forgotten. You always put others before yourself and we’re so giving.
I’m going to miss your laughs and you’re sarcastic comments.. our phone calls.

Dear Tia Carmen, Bella, and Ben, Please know that you are not alone in this. I am thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers. I hope you can find comfort in the memories you shared and the love that surrounds you from family and friends. My Nino Charlie was a good man and I personally looked up to him, he would always text me randomly to check up on how I was doing. That’s the type of man he was always taking time out of his day to check on his loved ones no matter the circumstances. Charlie was a very wise man and I hope to be the man he grew out to be. He was giving, caring and a loving husband who did everything he could to give the best life for his family and loved ones.. Rest in peace Tio, until we meet again. Fly high

To my sister Camen, and to my niece Bella and nephews Bash and Ben —how do we move forward. There are no easy words, only love. We are here for you, we love you, and we will support you through every moment ahead. Allow yourselves the time and space to feel, to grieve, and to remember.
