06/26/1968 - 08/26/2025

Brent William Marks, born on June 26, 1968, passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2025, at the age of 57, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He fought with remarkable strength, grace, and determination, inspiring all who walked beside him during his journey.

Brent proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran, carrying with him a spirit of honor, resilience, and dedication. After his military service, he built a career in the film industry, working in the Camera and Electrical Department on numerous movie productions. His expertise and passion for the craft helped bring many stories to life on screen.

Beyond his work, Brent was a true movie lover. He not only worked behind the camera but also found great joy in watching, collecting, and sharing films with the people he cared about. Whether recommending a favorite classic, keeping up with the latest releases, or spending hours talking about directors and stories, his enthusiasm for cinema was infectious and brought many closer together.

Brent also loved the simple joys of life—spending time around the poker table, sharing laughter and friendly competition with those he loved. He had an adventurous palate, always excited to discover a new restaurant or hidden pizza spot, yet nothing compared to the comfort of a good home-cooked meal. Food, movies, and laughter were often at the center of his happiest moments.

More than his service and career, Brent will be remembered for his heart of gold. He was a loyal friend who never met a stranger—always quick to spark a conversation, share a laugh, or lend a helping hand. His warmth, generosity, and genuine nature touched the lives of everyone around him.

Brent’s absence leaves an immeasurable void for his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will forever remain in their hearts.

He will be missed beyond measure.

We miss you so much and we will always love you. Life won’t be the same without your laughter, your funny late-night texts, our shopping trips, meals together, and all the movie talks we shared. You left a hole in our hearts, but your memory will live on forever.

Say hi to Belly and Brandon for me until we meet again.

  • Rest in peace uncle Brent we will miss every holiday with you and all the movies you blessed uncle David with ❤️‍

  • I am so sad to hear about Brents passing,my heart aches for you both, knowing how much he meant to you and how deeply you’ll miss him. It’s takes such strength and kindness to be there for someone the way you were for Brent. I know he was alone in his fight and it must of been a comfort to know he had your love and support by his side. The small acts of love, like taking him to the doctor and shopping weekly a testament to the incredible people you are speaks volumes about the bond you both shared. I will remember Brent as a kind courageous and quiet man,he was a hero long before his final fight, serving our country and then creating a career for himself in the film industry. The work your doing now, arranging his military funeral is a beautiful way to honor his service and ensure his sacrifice is never forgotten. But what I’ll remember most is the family get togethers we shared with him Rest in Peace Brent,I’m sending my love and strength during a difficult time, please know that I am here for you with my deepest sympathy ???? love mom
