Interment: Gilbert Memorial Park Cemetery

Brandon Cade Lythgoe passed away peacefully in his sleep due to natural causes in the early morning of Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Brandon was born on April 29, 2001 to Janet and Derek Lythgoe in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was the youngest of five and was Janet and Derek’s miracle baby. Janet had felt strongly that she was meant to have a fifth child and, after years of trying, received the most remarkable gift: Brandon was born on her birthday. He was always loved and adored by all four of his older siblings, Tyler, Nathan, Jenna, and Ryan.

When Brandon was 9 years old, his family moved to Olympia, Washington. Brandon enjoyed running track and cross country, playing basketball, and spending time with his brother Ryan. He loved exploring and scouting and was proud to become an Eagle Scout. For him, playing with his cousins was always the highlight of family gatherings and he cherished the adventures that they went on. At age fourteen, Brandon’s family moved to Gilbert, Arizona where they currently reside. He attended Highland High School and continued to run track and cross country. In his sophomore year of seminary, Brandon met his high school sweetheart and future wife, Emma.

Following high school, Brandon served a 2-year Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in San Antonio and Austin, Texas. After returning home, he was sealed for time and all eternity to his sweet wife Emma in the Mesa, Arizona temple on April 9, 2022. Brandon loved Emma more than anything in the world and would always refer to her as his “cute wife” and “perfect wife.” He was willing to do anything for her and gave her all of his love, respect, and devotion.

Brandon loved and was honored to become a part of the Hernandez family. He was a cherished new addition and was the perfect son and brother-in-law. Emma’s parents, Pablo and Amber, could not have hoped for a more genuine and loving husband for their Emma. They were thrilled to finally have a son. He was a piece of the family that had always been missing.

Brandon attended BYU-Idaho, majoring in data science with a minor in web development, and was excited for his future career as a data scientist. He was living in Gilbert, Arizona with his parents and wife while completing his internship.

Brandon loved being an uncle and adored his three nieces and three nephews. They lit up his life during every visit and he looked forward to spending time with each one of them.

Brandon was always a light to all who knew him. He was patient, kind, spiritual, and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He loved his family, wife, and the gospel above all else.

Brandon is survived by his wife Emma Lythgoe, his parents Janet and Derek Lythgoe, and his siblings Tyler Lythgoe, Nathan & Addys Lythgoe, Jenna & Austin Damoth, and Ryan Lythgoe. Also by his nieces, Noelle, Emery, and Selah, his nephews, Milo, Hudson, and Beckham, his grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and his perfect puppy Leo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10am at the Maplewood LDS church building.  3775 S. Greenfield Rd.  Gilbert, AZ 85297.
