Wells Milam Thompson, affectionately known as“ Wellsy,” passed away on July 1, 2025, at just over one year old. Though his time on earth was brief, his impact was immeasurable.

Born prematurely on June 6, 2024, Wells seemed eager to join his family and begin his life surrounded by love. From the very beginning, he shared a special bond with his mother—her presence was his favorite place to be. Whether nestled in her arms or along for every adventure in his baby carrier, he was happiest when close to her.

Wells was a joyful, easygoing, and calm soul, always smiling and bringing light to those around him. A lot of his joy came from his dad, who could make him laugh more than anyone. He adored his two big brothers and loved being part of every moment, never wanting to miss out. Curious and active, he was already crawling, cruising along furniture, and exploring the world around him with a peaceful confidence. He napped wherever he happened to be and woke up ready to rejoin the fun, content simply to be near the people he loved.

In his short time here, Wells already had many adventures. He visited Disneyland, where the wonder and joy on his face spoke volumes. He loved the excitement, the movement, and simply being part of it all.

Wells is deeply missed by his devoted parents, Rachel and Jacob Thompson; his beloved brothers, Everett and Rocco; his grandparents, Lance and Michele, and Timothy and Kathryn; his four aunts, five uncles, and five cousins—two of whom were born close in age and shared a special bond with him. He was also cherished by a large extended family and a close-knit circle of friends who loved him as their own.

The loss of Wells is felt profoundly by all who knew and loved him. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory will remain ever-present. His life, though short, will be celebrated and treasured forever.

A private service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
