Obituary

Tammy J. Puckett

Tammy J. Puckett was born on December 14, 1959. She passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 6:40am in Gilbert, AZ. Waiting for her was her husband Russell Puckett, her mother Martha Frazier, her sister Candy Butzin, and brother Carl Butzin Jr. Tammy leaves behind her father Carl Butzin, her sister Jaimie Cain, her two sons; Ryan Puckett (Donnya Puckett) and Randy Puckett (Rachel Riesel) three grandchildren; Brody Puckett, Braydon Puckett, Ruby Puckett and nieces/nephews.

Tammy had a love for dogs of all breeds and sizes. In her adult life, she grew up grooming and boarding dogs with her mother Martha at different shops then Heber Pethouse opened in 1995. Her passion for animals helped drive the success of her business that provided a livelihood for both herself and family while giving the community of Heber-Overgaard a sense of comfort knowing their pets were in good hands. When she was not busy working, she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, baking, and watching football (aka yelling at the TV).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Gilbert, AZ. If you are interested in attending, please reach out to her son Ryan Puckett (928-240-1068) for more details. Tammy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and anyone else she encountered.
