Raymond “Ray” Perez Carranza, a deeply loved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 52, surrounded by the love, prayers, and presence of his family and close friends after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on December 5, 1973 in Oxnard, California, Ray was the eldest son of Reynaldo and Amelia Carranza. He was raised in Yuma, Arizona, where he formed the strong values and character that would guide him throughout his life. He went on to graduate from Arizona State University and built a respected career as a civil engineer that spanned nearly 30 years, touching many lives through his work and dedication.

Above all, Ray’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Christina, and was a devoted and loving father to Camilla, Ariana, and Cayden. He found happiness in the simple, meaningful moments—family gatherings, hiking together, or enjoying a game of pickleball. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him.

Ray will be remembered for his positive spirit and remarkable strength in the face of adversity. Even during his illness, he remained hopeful and resilient. He lived a life marked by love, generosity, and selflessness, always putting his family first and inspiring everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Christina, and their three children, Camilla, Ariana, and Cayden; his mother, Amelia, and his brother Ron. He is now reunited in eternal peace with his father, Reynaldo.

To celebrate his life, a viewing will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 2pm to 4pm, with a service immediately following at Gilbert Memorial Park Cemetery and Funeral Home in Gilbert, AZ.
