With selfish sadness but joyful grace, we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, and friend, Joseph Edward Feyereisen (Joe), who left us on September 25, 2025. He passed peacefully at Banner Heart Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife Ana and their sons George, Michael, and Joey.
The funeral service will be held at 11am on Sat. October 11, 2025, at the Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E Queen Creek Rd, Gilbert AZ 85297, with an hour of Celebration of Life after service.
Joe was born on June 25, 1965, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in Beecher, Illinois, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors and a tireless work ethic that would guide him throughout his life. He graduated in 1987 from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a degree in Industrial Engineering—a foundation for a career marked by both excellence and integrity.
Over the course of his career, Joe brought his talents and dedication to a variety of organizations, including Citi Group, Xerox Health Solutions, Coldwell Banker Southern California, CDW, FVI, Nissan Motor Co., Community Health Systems, Trinity Health Systems, Dignity Health, TORCH, and the State of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, among others. He was known for his ability to lead with humility, solve complex problems, and build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike. His professional journey reflected both versatility and compassion, and he earned the respect of everyone he worked with.
Beyond work, Joe found his greatest joy in spending time with family. He loved playing cards and board games (and had a knack for winning), skiing trips and hosting gatherings filled with laughter and connection. Christmas light shows became one of his favorite passions, that brought so much happiness to many. He was a loyal Chicago Bears fan and had dry wit that could lift the mood in any room. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit were constant in the lives of those around him. Joe was the kind of person who showed up—reliable, kind, and always ready to lend a hand or listen without judgment.
The last decade of Joe’s life brought significant health challenges. In the final six years, following a stroke, he faced kidney disease requiring daily dialysis, vision loss in one eye, and the amputation of his right leg. Yet through it all, Joe’s strength and resilience never wavered. He fought every day for the love of his family—until he could fight no more. Even in hardship, he maintained his dignity, humor, and steadfast love for those closest to him.
Joe’s legacy is one of quiet courage, deep love, and unwavering devotion. He taught those around him what it means to persevere with grace and to love without condition. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joe’s memory lives on through his beloved wife, Ana; his sons George, Michael, and Joey; his mother Roberta; his brothers Mark and Matthew; and his cherished niece Harper, the daughter of Matthew. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward.
During the time in Arizona I will always remember my brief time shared with your family. The joy and laughter filled your home and my heart always remembers being welcomed. Joe was a good person and loved you all dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Gabriel & familia
