Ryan Scott Schoeller

Ryan Scott Schoeller, 31, passed away on February 7, 2024, in Gilbert, Arizona. Born on December 13, 1992, in San Diego, California, Ryan brought warmth and laughter into the lives of all who knew him.

From a young age, Ryan embraced life with energy and compassion. He had a deep love for fitness and was dedicated to staying in excellent shape. His passion for working out was more than a routine—it was a way of life that reflected his discipline and commitment. Even during his 21st birthday celebration in Las Vegas, while others might have sought the nightlife, Ryan chose to spend his time at the gym and enjoying shows—true to his unique spirit.

Ryan found peace and joy by the ocean. Whether it was the familiar shores of San Diego and having Diablo Margaritas at the Baja Cafe on the Pacific Beach Boardwalk or Carlsbad and Oceanside beaches.  Ryan loved travel where he and his father took father and son trips to the vibrant beaches of Acapulco, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, Cancún, Cozumel, Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco), Fort Lauderdale and South Beach Miami, Florida. Ryan cherished every moment spent near the water. The beach was one of his favorite places to relax and recharge.

Ryan was a beacon of kindness, strength and love. Ryan’s life was a testament to the impact we can have on others, even when silently fighting our own battles.  Ryan’s smile was contagious, and his laughter, unforgettable. But beyond is humor, Ryan was a person of immense kindness. Always looking and protecting others.

Those who knew Ryan remember him as someone who made everyone feel seen and valued. He had an incredible ability to lift spirits with his humor and kindness. No matter the situation, he could bring a smile to your face. His respectful nature and generous heart left lasting impressions on friends and family alike.

Ryan deeply valued his relationships. He consistently put others before himself—whether offering emotional support or stepping up when someone needed help. One such moment that speaks volumes about his character was when a friend reached out in financial need; though Ryan didn’t have much to spare at the time, he still found a way to help. His loyalty ran deep—he was protective of those he cared about and always sought to make them feel safe and supported.

He took great pride in making his parents proud—a goal he fulfilled through both his actions and the person he became. His mother Margaret Talbot and father Scott Schoeller was always proud of him and continue to hold his memory close.

Ryan is lovingly remembered by his mother Margaret Talbot; father Scott Schoeller; sisters Sandy Cruz, Brooke Garcia, Krystyn Schoeller, and Michelle Carreon; and brother Erik Luchka. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Gary Schoeller and Paula Jane Schoeller.

Ryan’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, laughter, and unwavering love for those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire acts of generosity and compassion in his honor.
