He was born in Phoenix, Arizona, January 30,1975. He grew up in Scottsdale and Chandler. He graduated from Dobson High School in 1993 and entered the Navy upon graduation and served on the USS McKee based in San Diego.
He is survived by his parents David E. McDowell and Linda McDowell, daughter Amanda McDowell, sister Marci Cummard (Matt), two nephews Cameron David Cummard and Caden Christian Cummard. He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Vivian Balzer and Elden and Josephine McDowell.
