Xavier Reson Lemmon, age 10, passed away on Tuesday January 30th, 2024 in Chandler, Arizona due to complications from a previously unknown heart condition.  He was born October 20th, 2013 in Kirkland, Washington and moved to Chandler, Arizona 2.5 years ago.  He was the youngest of 3 children.  He attended Kenmore Elementary in Kenmore, Washington for kindergarten and 1st grade and Haley Elementary School in Chandler, Arizona for 2nd through 4th grade.

He excelled in math. He was a great cheerleader for his friends. He loved to be silly, striking poses, and cracking punny jokes. His favorite game was Uno Flip and he took it to school to teach friends and teachers how to play. He also loved popcorn, video games, and the color cyan. In the last few months of his life, he made over 60 videos that he wanted to post on YouTube under the handle Xavierfunz as soon as he turned 13.  His goals were to drive cars (preschool), fly a plane, have infinite money, gain weight (third grade) and be a YouTuber (fourth grade).

He is survived by his parents Daniel and Annaliese (Andy) Lemmon, a sister Rachel, and a brother Joseph.  Also, grandparents Paul and Sherry Work of Oregon, and Deborah Lemmon of Idaho, great grandmother Dayonne Work of Texas, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.  Preceded in death by Grandfather Jim Lemmon and Aunt Natalie Lundberg.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Xavier’s charity of choice: the Arizona Humane Society, or the charity that assisted with Xavier’s care: Hospice of the Valley.

  • My deepest condolences to you Andy. While I may have not known Xavier, I know he had to be an amazingly kind hearted soul since he came from you. Thinking of you and your family during this incredibly hard time.

  • Xavier is one of the sweetest and funniest kids I have had the pleasure of knowing. I am happy I got to be your aunt.
You will have many adventures as you move on and graduate this earthly existence.

  • Warren & Lynn Bevan

We are sending our love and prayers to you and your family. Grateful he was your son and that you were blessed with him. We know The Lord loves Xavier and will keep him close as well as all of you. Pray for you and your family to be comforted and feel love from The Lord.
You are in our in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Warren & Lynn

  • What a wonderful tribute.

  • I was Xavier’s Kindergarten teacher. My favorite memory of him was how he would giggle and laugh every time he played “cat stacker”, a brain break during our IREADY reading/math assessments. To this day, every time my students play, I think of Xavier’s joy.

  • Sending love to you and your family, Andy. Xavier was loved very much.

  • We were so sad to hear about Xavier and his illness. We had been in Chandler for the last three months as we
stayed with our son and his wife and family. They had their new baby one month early. We pray for the spirit
of God to give your family comfort and healing. All of the Kenmore Ward are thinking of you at this time.

  • Oh my sincerest sympathies to you and your beautiful family. This sweet guy was a joy to have at preschool. What a fun kiddo and what a bright light he shined for us all. Asking God to hold you close and comfort you. Know how much you’re loved and thought of from here.
