About William John Flaws
William John Flaws, 88, passed away after a brief illness at the Abrazo Central Campus, Phoenix, Arizona. Bill was born in Dunedin, New Zealand and moved to the United States in 1980. Bill loved to golf, but especially loved to fly fish in the tributaries of Lake Taupo, New Zealand. Bill was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Bishop in Tauranga, New Zealand, as well as multiple other callings throughout the years. Bill leaves behind Frances, his sweetheart of 64 years. He had four children- Pamela (Vearle), Steven (Sherri), Michael (Julie), and Kathryn (Dean). As well as Nam, Bac, Na, San, Wanyou, James and many foster children from over the years. He loved them all. His legacy will continue through his 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Haere Ra Wiremu.
