William Edward Ferlise

On February 7, 2024, William Edward Ferlise joined the angels in Heaven, just like he had planned. What a celebration there must have been at the pearly gates upon his arrival!

The same joy was had a little over 80 years ago when Bill was born in Canada on June 24, 1943. He led a life filled with service and devotion. Professionally, whether he was serving our country in the United States Navy, serving fellow citizens as a correctional officer, or serving students in the high school arena, Bill was always giving back to others. As a father, he went to the ends of the earth for his children and their friends to ensure they were safe, loved, and nurtured.

Bill’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by him understand that his existence and the imprint he left on our hearts will far exceed the quantity of time that he stayed here.

He was preceded to heaven by his grandmother, mother, sister, step-dad, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving partner, Tina Miller. His three children: Jena Kugel-Brandt (husband Lars), Jon Ferlise (wife Smila), Joseph Ferlise, and his grandchildren: Morgan Kugel, Wyatt Ferlise, Sawyer Ferlise, Zachary Ferlise, Andrew Ferlise, and his ex-wife, Victoria Ferlise.
