Vanessa Rivera of San Tan Valley, Arizona passed away peacefully at home.

Vanessa was born in Councils Bluff, Iowa and retired from the Boeing Company in 2016 after 20 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 38 years David, her sister Aurora Micheletti (Bob) and brothers Copi Jimenez (Karen), Dana Jimenez (Carla) and Bobbie Jimenez. Vanessa also had 10 nieces and nephews. Prior to her marriage, Vanessa lived in California and worked for several legal firms. She moved to Florida in 1983 to marry her husband and began her career in supporting aerospace endeavors. She worked at Patrick A.F.B., Cape Canaveral A.F.S. and Kennedy Space Center, Florida for several major Aerospace companies including Pan- Am, Boeing North American, Rockwell International and United Space Alliance. During her career in Florida, Vanessa completed her B.S. degree from Barry University. In 2001 Vanessa and her husband relocated to St. Louis, Missouri where Vanessa worked as a contract’s administrator for the Boeing Company. In 2004 Vanessa and her husband moved to Arizona where Vanessa worked for The Boeing Company until her retirement.

Vanessa loved spending time with her husband, family and friends, taking care of  her animals, outdoor activities and traveling. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
