Timothy David Andrews
November 8, 1968 – July 30, 2024
Timothy David Andrews, born on November 8, 1968, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2024. Tim, as he was fondly known, was the beloved son of James and Deborah Andrews, and the cherished brother of Scott Andrews and Jaimie (Joel) Ormiston.
A proud alumnus of Bishop Dwenger High School, class of 1987, Tim went on to earn his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Indiana University in 1991. Upon graduating, he moved to New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he began his career at Johnson & Johnson headquarters. It was here that Tim was instrumental in creating one of the first corporate fitness programs in the country, showcasing his passion for health and fitness.
In 1995, Tim joined Star Trac Fitness, where he started as a sales representative in commercial fitness equipment sales and rose to the position of key account manager. Known for his tireless work ethic, passion, and unrivaled charisma, Tim excelled in his role and earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. His ability to make friends easily and make everyone feel special was a testament to his genuine and gregarious nature.
In 2012 after moving with his family to Arizona, Tim fulfilled a lifelong dream by founding TEK Fitness Distributors. His passion and commitment enabled the business to thrive, and he considered the TEK staff his second family.
An all-around athlete, Tim remained highly active throughout his life. However, his greatest joy came from his daughter, Erin Andrews. Tim was the most enthusiastic parent at her softball games, his pride and support for Erin shining brightly at every event. His love for his family and friends was boundless, always expressed with a big hug and words of affection.
Tim is survived by his treasured daughter, Erin; his loving parents, James and Deborah Andrews; and his devoted siblings, Scott Andrews and Jaimie (Joel) Ormiston. He also leaves behind his former wife and Erin’s mom, Kathleen Morehouse, and his loving partner, Lori Lovering. Tim’s legacy is further carried on by his cherished nephews and nieces, Zach, Ryan, Tyler, Connor, Reagan, Kylie, and Beau, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Betty Block, and Joseph P. and Betty Andrews.
Tim’s vibrant spirit, love for his family, and unyielding enthusiasm will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
We invite all who cherished Tim to join us in a celebration of life at the Crowne Plaza Resort, One North San Marcos Place, Chandler, Arizona on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., where we will share stories, laughter, and tears, just as Tim would have wished.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tim’s name to the University of Arizona Nursing General Scholarship Fund, to honor the loved ones in his life who are nurses: https://give.uafoundation.org/nursing

Tim was the kindest man I knew. He helped me get my works gym up and running. Always professional and always had a smile on his face. Hearing of his passing is heartbreaking. My sympathy to TEK family and his family and loved ones.

You may not remember me when you all lived in Marshall…
But I have thought of you all often.
I am sorry for your loss and have you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Marshall Class of 87 would like to extend our condolences to the family. Tim’s smile and athletic ability have been mentioned numerous times in our posts for our class. Mind, are more of the Panthers and Cougar days in Marshall with him being my Quarterback. We had a lot of great times on the football field in grade school. The Marshall family and class of 87 is a tight one and his infectious personality was felt in his short time at Marshall. Again, out deepest condolences on the loss of Tim.
Tim was a great individual, I will truly miss him. My deepest condolences go out to the family. The University of Arizona Campus Recreation sends their prayers to all.
Tim was a man among boys while playing Rocket football with us in Marshall, MI. He was the best football player that I ever played with. I seriously believe that we could have won a State Championship with him if he would have stayed in Marshall. I’ll never forget him leveling me 2 plays in a row. I’ve never been leveled throughout my football career. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family!
Dear Deb and Jim and entire Andrews family, so very, very sorry for the loss of your dear Tim. So many wonderful memories of Tim and my son Dan enjoying their high school days. Loved the sounds of laughter and good times shared together. Please know that I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Jean Joley
Tim was a shining star at Bishop Dwenger. Not just in his good looks but his kindness.
Knowing Tim through a work relationship with IHRSA, I will always remember his smile and sparkling eyes and the dedication he had for both the fitness industry and lives he touched in his career. I last saw Tim at the MYR Airport in 12/23 and even though I could not think of his name, his eyes and smile were strong in my memories. I had hoped to reach out to him when I return to visit AZ in 2025. He was such a wonderful person in so many ways and had such a zest for life. He will be missed by many. My love and prayers to his family and loving partner, Lori.
Rest peacefully, Tim! Praying for your soul and for your family!
Sincere condolences to the Andrews family, especially to Tim’s daughter, Erin, who loved him dearly. She was the light of his life.
My deepest condolences and sincerest sympathies to the Andrews family, especially to Lori Lovering, his loving partner. Although Tim is not here physically, his spirit and memories will live on with you. Sending you prayers and big hugs my friend. Rest in love and peace Tim.
Our deepest condolences to Erin and Kathleen and all who loved Tim. What a guy! We knew him from our daughter Jenna’s softball days and ALL of us became fast friends. He had a huge heart, always had a sparkle in his eyes and was Erin’s biggest fan!
We will all miss him dearly. ♥️
I too met Tim through Star Trek back in 1995. He was the sales rep for the Long Island territory New York territory, and I was hired on as a factory direct technician a new position something that they’ve never really done before with the exception of one gentleman who is my predecessor who passed away in a car crash suddenly and he was in New Jersey or Connecticut. Anyhow, I filled that position on Long Island and met with Tim routinely in the field, whether it be for service and repair or just to help him bolster up a sale with Service by the side of sales, which was a great combination for us both my business group dramatically as a result of Timms referrals, and help I have some great memories with him and I am very sad news Rest in peace buddy your one of the good ones
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Tim. A very close friend of Andrew McGurr, I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting Tim numerous times at Super Bowl parties that Andy used to hold annually in the late 1990’s. Tim was such a great guy to hang out with and talk to, especially about sports and health and fitness. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
