Although Sarah lived in AZ for 33 of her 78 years, she also blessed the lives of neighbors and friends in Alabama, Oregon, California, Colorado and New Jersey.  She had a penchant for gardening, motorcycling, and she loved to watch old fashioned Westerns on the television.

Sarah’s funeral urn will be preserved indefinitely at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E. Queen Creek Rd., Gilbert AZ 85297.  There is also a perpetual online memorial located at www.gilbertmemorialpark.com where friends and relatives may leave comments and photographs.

A friend though the years living near, then far away, still so very close at heart. Sarah spoke often of her family, so proud and so happy to have them near. Early in our friendship, it was astounding how much she loved the freedom and excitement of being behind Mark on their motorcycle. Laughter was always prominent in conversations with Sarah as we solved world problems. Sarah was not one to suffer fools and she had a unique skill for getting things done. Bargains, deals, and comfort food recipes are but a few of the day to day simple things shared that will be greatly missed. Being Sarah’s friend was a joy and an honor. We send our love and healing energy to family and friends as we keep her in our hearts and memories.

  • Sarah and I met in Business College and became roommates in our first after school jobs in Portland, Oregon. We would walk home from our jobs to our apartment at the YWCA. On Fridays afterwork, we would always stop at Meier & Franks to check-out the Friday Surprise specials and buy something to go out in. Many laughs and a wonderful, lifetime friend.

  • So sorry, Mark, Jonnea and Derrick.

  • I have known Sarah for about 14 years. She has always been so wonderful and kind to me and my family. A lot of fun and laughter. We shared a lot of wonderful times together and I will miss her dearly. Say hi to Steven if you see him in heaven.
