Santo Nudo

Santo Nudo, 78, of Gilbert, Arizona, and formerly of Illinois, passed away suddenly on March 3, 2025. Born on April 10, 1946, in Rende, Calabria, Italy. Santo was a devoted husband, father, papa, and friend.

Santo is survived by his wife of 51 years, Liz (Genovesi), son Anthony (Christina), and daughter Michelle. He was the beloved papa to Austin, Violet, and Gianni. Dear brother of the late Giuseppe (Bella), the late Vincenzo (Vera), Rosina, Rita (Ippolito) Metallo, Peter (Lucy), the late Luigi (Rosie), Tony, Mary, Mike, and Anna (Paolo). Fond brother-in-law of Mary (the late Elmer) Neuhoff, the late Joseph and the late Rose Genovesi, and Vito Genovesi. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Treasured son of the late Francesco and Ida (Giordano) Nudo. Adored son-in-law of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Esposito) Genovesi.

Santo was a hairstylist until the mid-1980’s. He then started Sema, Inc., manufacturing beauty salon equipment until he retired in 2009.

He was proud of his Italian heritage, had an immense passion for politics, loved gardening and soccer, was always willing to lend a helping hand, but most importantly, he adored his family, especially his grandchildren.

Santo’s presence will be incredibly missed, but his legacy will continue to live on through all that knew and loved him so dearly.

Visitation for Santo will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E. Queen Creek Road, Gilbert, AZ 85297. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Juan Diego Catholic Church, 3200 S. Cooper Road, Chandler, AZ 85286.
