Rest in eternal peace dear Sam. I will always remember you from the days of old when I was your flower girl at your wedding in Cebu. Though we were reconnected only very recently, praise the Lord you still touched my life. See you in the presence of the Lord.

Condolences to the Buot family. Thank God we had the chance to get together a few years back in Dumaguete. Rest in peace. And God grant strength to Menchie and your children as they go through the grief of losing you.

From your cousins in Dumaguete City

  • Thank you for all the kind words over the years as a friend. You will be missed by many, but your legacy of kindness will be remembered for a long time by many.

  • Tito Sam you were many things to many people; father, brother, husband, friend, instructor, mentor, chef, host for all the Pacquiao fights, father figure to name a few.
Your light always shined on those that crossed your path. For some it was but a moment and for others, you impacted and helped mold them into the people they are by the love and guidance you gave them. I am one of many who was privileged enough to have you mentor me for years. In many ways you were father figure that i always wanted to make proud. The world should seem darker without your presence, but it is not because all you have taught and the love you gave to others lives inside of us. We are your legacy and i personally know there is much i want to accomplish and many lives i want to positively impact. With each person that crosses my path i will continue to be like you, always lead with love. Seek to empower people to ignite the fire within and to live with purpose, love , and genuine caring. I learned this from you and promise to continue your legacy in my lifetime. Hopefully i can make the positve impact you have made in so many peoples lives. Until i see you again may you rest in peace and watch over us from above.

  • Thank you Manong Sam for sharing the art of Balintawak with us and opening your home to us. I have learned much from your traditional methods of teaching eskrima. Thank you. May you rest in peace and in paridise with our Lord Jesus Christ experiencing everlasting joy and love. It was a pleasure knowing you Manong Sam. Condolences and prayers go out to the Buot family. God bless you and keep you.

As we Join you,we ask God to give you the strenght to face the days ahead without him…. his memories will always be there in your hearts and in the hearts of many. You will be in our prayers and know that Sam will always be remembered.
Our sad farewell to a great warrior. May your journey be short so you can see Our Lord face to face soon.
Deepest condolence to your family. Menchie and Ryan
