It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, son and brother, Robert Carter Barrett. Rob, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home on May 14, 2025, at 3:11 p.m., surrounded by his devoted family.

Rob was born on November 25, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington, where he lived for most of his life. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1975. That same year, he began a full-time mission in Sydney Australia for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After returning home, he married his high school sweetheart, Roberta Bielanin, in the Oakland California Temple in 1978, sealed for time and all eternity. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in faith, family, and love, raising four cherished children.

Rob was an incredibly driven and motivated entrepreneur. For over 30 years, he owned and operated a luxury custom home contracting business. Later in life, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish a successful medical supply company.

Throughout his life, Rob served faithfully in many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His most treasured role was serving as bishop of the Key Center Ward in Washington, where he led with compassion and unwavering dedication for six years. His life was defined by service—he had a gift for seeing others’ needs and a deep desire to lift and bless those around him. In his later years, he found great peace and purpose serving in the Gilbert Arizona Temple, a calling that brought him profound spiritual joy.

Rob is survived by his eternal companion, Roberta; his children: Jessica (Alex), Joshua (Marie), Nathan (Rachel), and Courtney (Casey); 16 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his father, William Barrett Sr.; and siblings William Jr., Brad, Deneen, and Danae.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21915 E. Cloud Rd, Queen Creek, Arizona.

Rob’s legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed until the appointed time when he is reunited with his wife and family.
