Randi Lee Gatewood was born on July 10th, 1999 and was called home on Saturday April 24th, 2021. Randi is survived by her parents Randall Gatewood and Shannon Dean; brothers Quinten and Kyree Gatewood; and her nephew Rylan Gatewood. Randi Lee graduated from Mesquite High School in Gilbert, where she was a part of the dance team and was a youth leader in YoungLife for many years. YoungLife was her passion! Teaching, preaching and spreading the word of God to all her peers was her mission and greatest joy. Randi Lee attended some college at ASU and studied business for a short while, but she quickly realized her passion was aesthetics. Randi attended the Aveda Institute and became a certified Aesthetician where she flourished greatly. She was a vibrant and ambitious young lady who was living her dream and had plans of opening a coffee truck soon. She loved to travel, go shopping, watch sunsets and simply live life to the fullest every day with all her friends and family! When Randi was around you knew it. Her laugh was infectious and her smile bigger than life. All who knew Randi loved her instantly because her spirit was so pure. She was kind and generous to all who crossed her path in life. Randi Lee, NaeNae, Ran…she had many names and was many things to many people. Her life’s work is a legacy that will live on in all of us forever! And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years!

Services will be Monday, May 3, 2021 at 12 PM, with a visitation at 11 AM at Central Christian Church, 965 E. Germann Road, Gilbert, AZ 85297. Interment will follow at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 East Queen Creek Road, Gilbert AZ 85297.

I am praying for your family, as my children attend the memorial for Randi today. My heart is so heavy, as Randi was a true gift. Her name was always referenced with a smile and great admiration, and her influence through YoungLife was priceless. Indeed, the life in her years made a huge difference. May God bless you and find ways to comfort you.

  • I just learned of your loss. May God be with all of you. I am so so sorry. I remember Randi as a newborn when you brought her into the doctor’s office for her first checkup. She was dressed in a beautiful white dress. She was so gorgeous. I would come out to see her when you would bring her in. Good memories. In time you will find peace in your heart and remember all the good things Randi was about. Rest in peace Randi

  • Bud & Sue Krugh

We did not know Randi except through our daughter, Ally Krugh, who couldn’t say enough kind things about Randi. After reading the above about Randi, I’m very impressed by the life she lived and her commitment to spread the love of God to those around her. Her legacy will live on in a beautiful way. Praying comfort for all the family at this devastating time of loss.

  • I just heard about this and my heart is breaking. I’m so very sorry for your loss and she was very dear to me. Praying for the family. Mary/Mortenson ortho ❤️🙏

  • My heart and condolences go out to Randi’s family and friends. It is obvious by the loving words everyone has spoken that she is a bright light in all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

The loss of those we love is never easy especially when it comes to the loss of a child. What has helped my family cope with our loss is one of the promises God has given all of us of a future reuniting with those we’ve lost here on earth where “death will be no more.” Knowing we will see them again is what fills my family’s heart with peace. Eze 37:13, Rev 21:4

Until that time, may the God of all comfort Jehovah give you the needed strength to endure. Your family is in my thoughts.
