About Peggy Marie Larrabee

Peggy Marie Larrabee, 64 years young, conquered her nearly 4 year battle with ALS Disease, earned her angelic wings and transitioned peacefully at her home in Mesa, AZ, from this earth to Heaven on Sunday, March 26, 2023, with her husband Larry by her side.

Peggy was born to Joseph Jr. and Ardelle Seckora on March 9, 1959 in Fort Bragg, CA. At the age of 4, the family moved to Hopland, CA, where she lived through 7 th grade. Moving many times throughout her childhood years, she spent most of her childhood in Hopland, where she would call “home.”

In 1996, Peggy began working with Larry at his electrical contracting business., where she was the office manager and a corporate officer until her ALS disease forced her into an early retirement in February 2020.

In 1998 Peggy married Larry and they said their vows in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Her passions in life included swimming, gardening, crafting and sewing. She loved sewing things for her children when they were young, and later in her life, sewing things for her grandchildren. She also loved and had a natural talent for interior decorating- but her biggest passion was her family. Peggy loved organizing and hosting the family gatherings and celebrations for her ever growing family over the years. She was the heart, foundation and matriarch of her “tribe”. Wherever Peggy was, is where the family wanted to be.

Peggy is survived by her loving blended family. Her husband Larry; her father Joseph Seckora; her sons Jason and Brian (Chemin); daughters Kristi (David); Tiffany (Josh); and Lindsey (Izzy), along with her grandchildren Berkeley, Jensen, Gia, Sadie, Emily, Lexi, Laila, Aleena and Luca. She was preceded in death by her mother Ardelle.

Peggy is so loved and will be so missed, but definitely not forgotten by ANY of us.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 12:00PM at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 East Queen Creek Road, Gilbert AZ 85297. Reception to follow immediately after the service. If interested in attending please contact Kristi at 480-862-6302 for more details.

Aw, my dearest Peggy, For 47 years I’ve had the privilege of calling you my friend. We’ve laughed & cried together and shared many treasured moments! I’ll always remember our trips to the lake, sharing the joys and heartaches of motherhood, and living together in the rental house in Cottonwood when our boys were young. I love so many things about you, but especially your joyous spirit and laughter that was very contagious. I will miss that bright smile and laugh! You are a living testament to faith, love, and perseverance! May you fly with the angels and know how much you impacted my life. My love and prayers to: Larry, Jason, Brian and all the family. Always in my ❤️ Bobbie Jean

Peggy and I met when I was just starting my new job as a real estate photographer. I will never forget the kindness and love that I felt from her just from talking about life I instantly felt a strong connection and bond that I will never forget. She has such a special soul that has touched many and it is hard to see her go, but I am grateful that she is no longer in pain. You will never be forgotten Peggy. I love you.
