About Peggy Mammen
We are sad to announce the passing of Mrs. Peggy Mammen on November 27, 2022 in Gilbert, Arizona. She is survived by her children, Rachel, Lizabeth and Jacob, son-in-law Isaac and daughter-in-law Jenita, and grandchildren Amelia and Brielle. She was born to Aleyamma and A. V. Kuruvilla of Anjilivelil family in Maramon, Kerala, India. She was married to late Mr. Raju Mammen from Puthenveettil Malayil family, Kumbanad, Kerala.
Peggy studied Botany at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam and earned a Master of Science degree. She worked as a Professor in C.M.S. College, Kottayam from 1965 to 1992. She migrated to Philadelphia, USA in 1992 with the rest of her family. She worked in Jefferson University’s cancer research center till 2006. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and traveled frequently between Kerala and USA. She was a very devoted member of St. Thomas Mar Thoma church, Y’s Men’s Club and C.M.S. College retired teachers’ association in Kottayam.
Peggy was a beautiful and strong woman. She always showed faith in God, compassion and simplicity, and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling the world as well as singing, reading and writing. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Viewing and funeral service will be held on December 5, 8:30 a.m. at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 East Queen Creek Road, Gilbert, AZ 85297.
