06/30/1935 - 02/21/2024
Interment: National Memorial Cemetery

Patsy Lee Gossett (Godfrey/Webb) went to be with our Lord on February 21, 2024. She was a Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Mother-in-Law, and Friend to everyone. She was born on June 30, 1935, in Sayre, OK., to Frederick and Vera Gossett. During her grade school years, her family moved to Phoenix, AZ. and she attended the Madison School District and graduated from North Phoenix High School.

Shortly after graduating from high school, she married her childhood sweetheart Johnny Howard Godfrey. While serving in the USAF, Johnny and Patsy had three children, Debra, Denny (Tina), and Douglas. The Godfrey family spent just over ten years at various Air Force Bases, until which time Johnny was deceased in Vietnam on 11 Jan 1966.

She was proceeded in death by her second husband, Charles Webb, a Teacher and Baseball Coach at Camelback High School in Phoenix, AZ.

Patsy had to be Mom & Dad for the next 5 years, following Johnny’s passing. She knew exactly when to Love you and when to discipline you. She was an excellent bowler, the President of a PTA, the President of our Little League program, she was the coordinator and demonstrator for many products in major department stores, but Cuisinart was her baby, she also took us on several great vacations, she had a sense of humor that was second to none.  And too many other talents and responsibilities that would be hard to duplicate for anyone else.

Patsy loved spending her summers in Greer at their cabin, where she made so many treasured friends.

Mom left behind her five children, Debra, Denny (Tina), Douglas, Deanna, and David (Kellie). She also left behind grandchildren Jacob (Lizzy), Daniel, Bryan, Kacie, Kenny, Mandy, and some great children. She is survived by her sister Barbara Ketcham (Horice), her Sister-in-law Betty and niece Karen. Her brother Donald Gossett proceeded her in death. Mom was also “adopted” by every child in the neighborhood, and many came for her hugs and snacks.

As per Mom’s request, a private family service will be held in her honor.

Mom will be interned at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Az. to be reunited in heaven with Johnny and Charlie.
