Queen Creek, AZ- Patricia Ann Branum passed away while surrounded by her family on April 3, 2022. She was born on January 11, 1944 to Robert Coleman Branum and Iona Faye Foster Branum in Gorman, Texas, the middle child of two sisters.

Pat graduated from Cal Poly State University-San Luis Obispo in 1966, where she earned a degree in Home Economics. She devoted her young adulthood to raising her three children, guiding them through their younger years from the comfort of their home in San Jose, California. She eventually went into banking administration, and ended her very successful career as the Executive Assistant to the President of The University of Phoenix. Pat was always a spiritual Christian and felt a strong pull to become a member of the Catholic Church, eventually converting to Catholicism. Pat was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandma and Mimi, and a friend; family was the centerpiece of her life. She was an expert seamstress, eventually focusing her talents on handcrafting intricate and beautiful quilts; she gifted this passion to many, and to know you were loved was to be the recipient of her personalized quilted artwork. Pat was an excellent cook and truly valued comfort food, relying on recipes handed down from her mother, friends and generations before her. She too shared this tradition; as she found great joy in passing along her own recipes to family and friends. Additionally, Pat experienced great joy watching her grandchildren compete in various sporting events.

Left to cherish Pat’s memory are her three daughters, Sheri Lynn Atwood, and her husband, Rick; Karen Diane Mason Wilshire; Katherine Dee Snyder, and her husband, Robert; her beloved grandchildren, Alexander Corallo, Mason Snyder, Natalie Snyder, William Wilshire IV, Claire Wilshire; her two step- grandsons, John Atwood and Adam Atwood; her two sisters, Diana Faye Salisbury and Beatrice LaVerne Womble, and her husband James; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Coleman and Faye Branum and nephew Troy Salisbury.

A memorial service honoring Pat’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday April 16, 2022 at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 East Queen Creek Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85297.

My wife Patricia and I met Pat at the wedding of Will and Karen. My Patricia said she though of Pat as being more like a sister to Karen, as Pat seemed so young at heart. Quite a gal!
