Obituary
Pamela Jean Holden was born in Chicago, IL on May 29, 1946, the only child to the union of Pierce Mcknight and Henryne Moore.
She departed this life on May 22, 2024.
Pamela graduated from High Park High School where she excelled in performing arts. Upon graduation she was signed to an agent as a professional model. Pamela obtained her degree in cosmetology. She had a passion for fashion & beauty. She loved to help others feel beautiful. She was one of the first African Americans working for Clinique. Pamela realized her passion to help children or anyone in need. Her lifetime mission was to make everyone feel like they had a safe haven. She started Nana house which was home to at risk youths. Everyone referred to Pamela as Nana. Mom had the gift of gab. With her infectious funny personality, she could get anyone to open up to her. Friends and family were always welcomed. She always had a open door and listening ear. Pamela loved to bowl, dance and travel. She loved nothing more than to watch romance, comedy, and science fiction movies. Her loved ones loved to cuddle up with Nana to watch a show. Pamela was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
Mom enjoyed cooking and entertaining loved ones. Everyone was eager to copy her delicious recipes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Holden & parents Pierce Mcknight and Henryne Moore.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory. Daughter of Maricopa AZ, Shaunell Hartfield; Son of Gilbert AZ, Steven Williams; Daughter Rose Sandoval of Tucson Az, Daughter Crystal Jabar of Gilbert, AZ. 11 grandchildren Perry, Bernard, Namir, Jordan, Keshaun, Savion, Mckenna, Kyndall, Aliyah, Yazmine & Tahir. 8 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
