Nick Panzo, 46, a devoted husband and father, passed away at home on August 12, 2023 after a brief illness.
Nick grew up in Tri Cities, Washington and called Arizona home for the last twenty-five years.
He had a long career with Albertson’s/Safeway, most recently serving as a management team member for Phoenix Central Services.
Nick loved music, travel and creating special memories with his family. He was never happier than when seeing a favorite band live or introducing his girls to a new place. Nick and Cortney were frequent travelers, with favorite destinations including Sedona, San Diego, and a recent trip to Europe. Nick loved the Yankees, an interesting book, and laughs shared over dinner with friends. A diehard Gonzaga basketball fan, Nick enjoyed a good poker game and could be found participating in tournaments including the World Series of Poker.
Nick is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cortney, and treasured daughters Evann Quinn and Emerson Grace, all of Gilbert, AZ. He is also survived by his mother, Kathleen Panzo of El Mirage, AZ; sisters Christy Macy of Peoria, AZ and Karen Brodahl (Robert) of Ashland County, WI; mother-in-law Tracy Wille of Gilbert, AZ; father-in-law Chris Dillman (Lori) of Marion, IL; and brothers-in-law Tyler (Kristi) Dillman of Chandler, AZ and John Ryan (Tina) Beighley of Marion, IL. Nick was a proud uncle to eight nieces and nephews, and was grateful to have a tight community of lifelong friends who he considered his extended family.
Nick’s celebration of life will be held the evening of Friday, September 22 at The Barn at Power Ranch (3686 S Autumn Drive, Gilbert AZ) from 5:30p-8:30p. The family requests you wear a concert/music shirt if you have one in honor of Nick. They look forward to hearing good memories and laughter is welcome.
Nick had a huge spirit of adventure, and in his honor, his family encourages you to buy the concert ticket, take the trip, and make the memory.
