It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael John Georgvich, age 48, on October 22, 2024. Born on January 30, 1976, Michael lived a life filled with love, passion, and adventure.

Mike was a devoted husband to Debra Georgvich, with whom he shared 23 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud father to two sons, Mason, 21, a senior at Northern Arizona University, and Cooper, 18, a senior at Basha High School. Michael cherished every moment spent with his family and was deeply involved in their lives. He is survived by his loving parents, Bonnie and Tim Georgvich; his sister, Megan Inmon, and her daughters, Lauren and Molly; and his mother-in-law, Pat Holly. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Betty Lou and Shaver, and his father-in-law, Bob Stirewalt and his brother-in-law Matt Inmon. Mike also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

A proud alumnus of Fordham University, Michael played football during his college years, where he not only showcased his athletic talent but also forged lifelong friendships. His love for the game continued long after college, as he remained an avid football fan and supporter of his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Mike loved hiking, being outdoors and watching the sun either rise or set. Michael will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, his humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

Michael’s spirit and zest for life will be celebrated on Sunday, November 3, at 1:00 PM, at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E. Queen Creek Rd. Gilbert, Arizona 85297. All who knew him are invited to join in honoring his memory and the impact he made on so many lives.

  • Mike was our very talented IT professional at OrthoLogic/Capstone and we worked together for close to 20 years. He was brilliant, able to solve any problem and taught us all modern technology. Motivated, he attended night school to achieve his MBA with company sponsorship…that’s how much we thought of him and how valuable he was to all of us at the company. We talked Steeler football a lot and laughed a lot together. Soooooo dedicated to his family! Will always love him and think of him with a smiling heart!

  • To the Georgvich family, my name is Gary Benites, and for a short time, I was Mike’s manager while he worked on the Active Directory team at DES. More important though, I was one of Mike’s many friends here at DES for the last 8 years, and will miss him terribly. Please accept my condolences for your loss. When loved ones are taken from this earth, especially very early in mortal life as Mike was, we struggle to understand why. After losing my oldest brother 2 years ago, I have understood more clearly that God had a plan for him, and he has a very important plan for Mike. While the pain of losing Mike is very difficult right now, please call upon God, and your ministering angels, of which Mike is one now, for help to ease your pain and bring comfort. Mike will always be with you, and will be there to help all of you through this diffcult time and beyond. God bless all of you.

  • So sorry for your loss. Wish I had known him better.my condolences to all of the families. R. I. P
