It is with deep sadness that the family of Maya Naikazi Disney Lubandi share her tragic passing on April 10, 2021 at the tender age of 20. She was born in San Luis Obispo, CA and later moved to Sacramento where she lived and grew up.
Maya was a wonderful young lady who lit up any room she walked into with her contagious smile, forming a special bond with each person she met, and making one feel specially important and unique. Maya was a big fan of American history and rarely passed up a change to get into a fiery discussion about politics. She was passionate about fighting a system she refused to accept as status quo.
Maya loved hiking, her dogs, and generally being outside with nature, but she had special loving bonds with her mom and dad.
Maya will be greatly missed, loved, and cherished forever by those who knew her. She is survived by her grandmothers Theresa Lubandi and Carilyn Kuhn; grandfather Vern Disney III; father Elijah Lubandi and mother Rose Disney. She is also survived by her sister Jaida and brother Jether Jr. and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
We pray that Maya is flying high in the arms of the angels. May God grant her eternal rest.
Loving daughter of Elijah Lubandi and Rose Disney.
May her memory be a blessing ?
Rest in Peace, beautiful Maya. I am so grateful to have shared a few childhood memories with her. ❤️
Still miss you ‘Little Bit’
