In loving memory of Marcus Antonio Castro Sr., a loving and devoted son, brother, husband father, grandfather, friend, mentor, and honorable servant to his country. Marcus A. Castro lost his battle to ALS on March 12, 2024, at the age of 64 and almost but not quite 65. He was surrounded by his immediate family and military brothers. 

Marcus joined the AirForce in 1976 and served his country for 20 years.  Following his military career, he continued his career with the California Department of Corrections. After Marcus retired, he continued to serve his community as a foster parent. Beyond his impressive career and achievements Marcus will be remembered for his kind heart and unwavering love for his family and friends. 

Marcus was proceeded in death by his father Juan “Ray” Castro Sr and daughter Ayasha Castro. Marcus is survived by his mother Corina Castro; the love of his life and devoted wife, Maria Castro; six children Miguel, Gerardo, Marcus Jr, Teschina and Yasmenda; two brothers Vincent and Ray; two sisters; Veronica and Sandra; and five grandkids.  May Marcus rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of compassion and service will never be forgotten.
