Luis Lara, of Gilbert Arizona, was called unexpectedly home to be with our Lord on April 12, 2023, at the age of 47 from a sudden illness.

Luis is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cecilia Lara, his children Mia and Gavyn Lara all of Gilbert Arizona, a brother Mauro Lara of Albuquerque New Mexico, several nephews and nieces from Espanola New Mexico, and several family members from across the country. Luis was a very loyal, dedicated, and devoted father and husband. He was committed to his family.

Luis is preceded in death by his father Solomon Lara, his mother Guadalupe Lara, his brother Estevan Lara, both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents and three children whom his wife Cecilia miscarried.

Luis enjoyed being with his family, working on wood projects, fishing, camping, football, boxing, fast cars, crafting, music, card games, and baking, and loved to play jokes with his children.  He had an interesting sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh.  He loved being outdoors and in the mountains. He loved dragons and dogs. He loved to travel. Loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed attending Sun Valley Community Church and Sagebrush Community Church.

Luis was hard-working, motivated, and driven in his career. He graduated from Espanola Valley High School.  He was a graduate of Anthem College and was currently attending the University of Phoenix.  He was inducted as a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success Organization.    He will be greatly missed by many family members, friends, and colleagues. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:00am at Sun Valley Community Church located at 456 E Ray Rd., Gilbert AZ 85296 followed by a Luncheon at 12:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 2233 S Wade Dr., Gilbert AZ 85295
