Lanita Fosnight of Mesa, Az. , passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025 . Born on November 30, 1935, she was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend to many.

Lanita Fosnight spent her life caring for those around her, always putting her family first. She was a nurturing mother and a proud grandmother. Her home was filled with her warmth and love.  She enjoyed her travels and living aboard with her husband and children. Lanita enjoyed watching the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Lanita will be remembered for her kindness, patience, and unwavering support to all who knew her. Her gentle wisdom and loving embrace will be deeply missed.

Lanita is survived by Harry and Tamara Williams of Gold Canyon; Jim D. Fosnight of Chandler, Az.; Ray and Marla Harkins of Chandler, Az; Scott and Esperanza Fosnight of Maricopa, Az along with 9 grandchildren. Lanita is preceded in death by her husband :James A. Fosnight; her siblings: Wilma Powell, Verba Cool, Marvin Cool, Darrel Cool, and Richard Cool.

A celebration of her life will be held at Gilbert Memorial Park on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 10 a.m.

Her legacy of love lives on in each person she touched. She will be forever in our hearts.
