Kelly Anne Davis (nee O’Donnell), 52, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024 in Mesa, Arizona, surrounded by family and dear friends.  Kelly was born to Michael and Wendy O’Donnell (nee Sikorski) in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 28, 1972.  She lived her childhood and adolescent years in the Twin Cities area and graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1990.  Kelly then attended St. Catherine University (formerly College of St. Catherine) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

After graduation, Kelly began her professional career at the Grant Thornton accounting firm in Minneapolis, before moving to the firm of Larson Allen (later Clifton Larson Allen), where she became a nationally recognized expert in the area of employer benefits compliance.  Indeed, Kelly was frequently invited to speak about topics in her area of expertise, including with congressional members in Washington, D.C.

Kelly married Bruce Bernard Davis in 2007, and the couple relocated to Gilbert, Arizona as Kelly moved upward in her career.  She gave birth to their son, Brandon Gregory, in February, 2011.  Kelly was a devoted mother who delighted in doing activities with Brandon, ranging from everyday home and school activities to taking vacations in California and elsewhere.  Kelly always kept the family informed of Brandon’s school achievements – she was so proud of him.

Kelly resigned from Clifton Larson Allen in March 2023 and joined KPMG, one of the four largest global accounting networks, bringing the same degree of dedication and enthusiasm to her work as a Managing Director.  In a personal message, a colleague stated that “Kelly was always smiling, always positive, and made me feel the same. I will miss her spirit and infectious personality.”

Kelly was preceded in death by her mother, Wendy; grandmothers, Dolores Aylward and Florence Sikorski; grandfathers, John O’Donnell and James Sikorski; and uncle, Alan Gray. She is survived by Bruce and Brandon Davis; father, Michael O’Donnell; stepmother, Karen Garrett; sisters, Lindsey and Margaret O’Donnell; brothers, Shaun and Kevin O’Donnell; aunt, Marybeth Gray; and dear friends, Shea McVea, Jennifer Darbison, and Lindsey Osborne.
