Kaitlyn Makenzie D’Ann was born on November 11, 1992, to Rebecca R. Guyton and Brian Willis. Katie led a very happy, active life filled with family, friends, and many activities. Katie was a nursing student and liked helping others. She attended public schools in Texas City, Texas and graduated from Texas City High School. She has an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from San-Antonio College. She also attended Texas A&M University – Kingsville where she met and married Abayomi Obawomiye. To this union, two children were born.
She is preceded in death by her mother Rebecca and grandmother Diane Dickey.
Kaitlyn, 30 passed away peacefully on February 2, 2023 in Chandler, Arizona. She is survived by her husband Abayomi, two children Kori and Kent from Chandler, her father Brian Willis of Texas City, mother-in-law and father-in-law Adenike and Matthew. Two brothers, Jordan and Stephan, one sister Maya all of Texas City and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Katie on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E Queen Creek Road, Gilbert, AZ 85297

Funeral Service from 9:00am – 11:00am
Graveside Service at 11:30am
It is very sad to hear the loss of Kaitlyn in this very young age. My deep condolences to her husband, children and the whole family. R.I.P.

It came as a rude shock to me when the news broke to me by her husband. I believe Kaitlyn is in a better realm. I pray her beautiful soul find peace in the bossom of the Lord. May God give my best friend Abayomi the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
