It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph L. Huett. Joe, 59, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, in San Tan Valley, Arizona, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 5, 1965, in Clinton, Iowa, to James and Joan Huett, Joe grew up in Erie, Illinois, where he lived a joyful and active life.
In 1988, Joe married Tabitha Stacey, and together they built a beautiful life. They moved to Arizona in 1995 and raised four cherished daughters: Hahley (Bryan) of Queen Creek, AZ; Brieanah (Austin) of San Tan Valley, AZ; Kylieh (Arthur) of Gilbert, AZ; and Skylar of Gilbert, AZ. Joe was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren: Chandler, Tierney, Jaxton, Braxton, Alexah, Teagan, Mason, Grayson, Nixon, Beckham, and Remi. He was excited to welcome his 12th grandchild in June. He is also survived by his daughter from a previous marriage, Tiffany; his mother, Joan, both of Chandler, AZ; his brother, Jim (Kathy) of Erie, IL; his sister, Jayne, of Bettendorf, IA; brother-in-law, Justin Stacey, of Gilbert, AZ; sister-in-law, Carrie Robertson, of Mesa, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, James; father-in-law, Richard Stacey; mother-in-law, Margaret Janie Stacey Westra; and his brothers-in-law, Faron and Troy Robertson.
Joe was a man who treasured his family above all else. He loved traveling and creating lasting memories with those he held dear. He was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of Joe’s life will take place at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E. Queen Creek Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85297. For more information, please visit www.gilbertmemorialpark.com.
