Joana Miranda Camargo

Joana Miranda Camargo, 76 passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Gilbert Mercy Hospital after a courageous and long battle with cancer on September 16, 2022.
Joana is survived by the love and warmth of her daughter Jacqueline Ferland, granddaughter Ashley Ferland, Son-in-law Derik Ferland, and her loyal companions Lyla and Blu.
Joana was born in Lima, Peru in 1946 and thoroughly enjoyed the Peruvian Culture, Cuisine, Music and was enormously proud of her heritage. Joana always had a charismatic personality, enjoyed socializing with her friends, and had a family first approach.
Some of Joana’s other passions included cooking, sewing, Telemundo, dancing, Catholic Faith, and belief in God.
Joana had a kind and strong heart that filled so many people’s lives with joy and laughter. Even when diagnosed with cancer Joana never let the disease affect the compassion of her heart. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to anyone that knew her.
The Visitation Service will be held Monday Sep 26 2022 from 1-3pm, followed by the burial services Monday September, 28 at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 East Queen Creek Road Gilbert, AZ 85297.
