Obituary

Joan M. Volk, 64, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away on August 30, 2025 at her home. Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, her parents John and Donna Brannas moved to Arizona when she was five. Joan was a retired Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant. Joan loved being with her grandchildren, playing cards and games with family and friends, quilting, spending time at the cabin in Overgaard, AZ, and talking with her many long time friends. She is survived by husband, Keith L. Volk; daughters, Phoebe (Kile) Crump and Emily Volk; grandchildren, Everly Crump and Declan Crump. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 19 th at St. Juan Diego Catholic Church (3200 S. Cooper Road, Chandler AZ 85286) followed by an interment service at 11:30 AM at Gilbert Memorial Park (2100 East Queen Creek Road, Gilbert AZ 85297).
