Jeffrey Hins, 68, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on October 18, 2024, in Maui, Hawaii, while on vacation. Jeff was born on August 25, 1956, to Leah (Hofmann) Hins and Vernon Hins in Gackle, North Dakota. He grew up in Medina, North Dakota. Jeff had two children from a previous marriage. He then married his soulmate, Jean Weber.

Throughout Jeff’s lifetime, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling. He especially enjoyed family time and his grandkids. He worked at the coal mine for 32 years in Beulah, North Dakota, as a welder and retired as an electrician. Jeff retired in 2016 and enjoyed going to the gym daily. He loved talking about working out with anyone.

JEFF WAS A VERY WITTY MAN. He would sometimes surprise people with what he had to say. He was an exceptional person, funny, a kind soul, and a great man of God. He was ready to help anyone in need. When you were around him, his witty humor and laughter made you laugh and feel good.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Jean; two children, Christopher Hins of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Sarah Hins of Lafayette, Colorado; two stepchildren, Sandy Thompson of Mound City, Kansas, and Steven Weber of California; three grandchildren, Austin, Brayden, and Davian; two sisters, Janice Mimnaugh (Bill) of Breckenridge, Minnesota, and Barb Davis (Greg) of Burnsville, Minnesota; and one brother, Anthony Hins of Kindred, North Dakota. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends, especially his traveling friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leah and Vernon Hins, and a sister, Betty Werner.

Services will be held at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E. Queen Creek Road in Gilbert, Arizona, on Friday, November 8, at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to invite everyone to join them for lunch and fellowship at the luncheon next door following the service.
