Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest……..

Suddenly on August 12, 2021, Glenda Evette Walker transitioned from earth to eternity.

Glenda was born to Estelle Walker and the late Roy Doram on August 11, 1966 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Glenda attended and graduated from Mergenthaler High School with the class of 1985. She also graduated from the Baltimore City Police Academy.

At an early age Glenda was baptized and joined the Calvary Baptist Church. Her faith walk lead her to various Holiness churches in Baltimore and Frederick, Maryland including the Greater Harvest Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Errol D. Gillard. Later in her life she moved to Arizona and attended The Pentecostals of Phoenix Church. She loved the Lord and did not mind sharing his greatness with everyone she met.  Her firm belief in God supported her through any struggle and illness and ultimately gave her peace.

Her diverse curiosity afforded her work in many career fields, Police Cadet, Chef, Cashier, Building Care to name a few. In 2013, Glenda retired from Lonza Bioscience in Walkersville, Maryland.

Glenda enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved mentoring others by sharing God and her life experiences, reading motivational books, listening to Gospel music and talking to family and friends, especially her Aunt Barbara who she called at least 5 times a day. Glenda, managed to spread love, laughter and joy to those she loved. Glenda loved her children and was very proud of their accomplishments.

Glenda leaves to cherish her memory her mother Estelle Eva Walker; her children Travis Walker, Tresavon Walker, Trevor Walker and Titianna Walker; her siblings Terry Hodge, Tonya Green, Roy Doram Jr and Tracey Doram; aunts Barbara Ennels, Karen Stanford ( Gary Stanford), Annette Walker, Tessa Hill-Aston, Bernadette Croaker; uncle Kenneth Walker (Jetta Walker); great aunt Loretta Bond; Vernon Ennels, Donna Knight, Lisa Knight, special great cousin Jadon Ennels and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her special dog GiGi.

A Letter From Heaven

When tomorrow starts without me, And I’m not there to see; If the sun should rise and find your eyes,

All filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry, The way you did today; While thinking of the many things, We didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me, As much as I love you; And each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too.

When tomorrow starts without me, Don’t think we’re far apart; For every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart.
