Elias C. Rodriguez, age 64, died peacefully in Gilbert, Arizona, surrounded by his wife and children on November 10, 2023.  Elias was born on December 8, 1958, in Manzanillo, Oriente, Cuba, to Mario and Elvira Rodriguez.  During his formative years, Elias and his family immigrated from Cuba to Florida, and later settled in the Los Angeles, California, area approximately one year later.  Elias is a graduate of Huntington Park High School in Huntington Park, California.  He later attended East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park, California, pursuing general studies with a concentration in the medical field.  Elias began his career with Honeywell (formerly Allied Signal) in 1979 as a shipping coordinator, where he remained employed for approximately 44 years.  In 1984, Elias married Luz Rodriguez (Chavez), and remained married for 39 years at the time of his death.

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Elias had a passion for cars and music.  Elias had a bright and energetic personality, and he was known for his ability to make others laugh.  He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for helping others.

Elias is survived by his loving wife, Luz; his two daughters, Annilett Rodriguez and Anais (Dominic) Perez; and his three grandchildren, David, Rachel, and Gavyn.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, December 8, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM at the Gilbert Memorial Park (2100 E. Queen Creek Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85297).   A praying of the Rosary will take place from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.  Following the Rosary and eulogy, a reception will take place until 2:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation at https://www.kidney.org/.
