C. Dennis Robison, 76, The Man, The Myth, The Legend, passed away November 19, 2023 surrounded by his wife and children.  Charles Dennis Robison was born in Emmett, Idaho on December 11, 1946, to Udell and Pearl Robison.  He attended Longfellow Elementary School, Parkview Middle School, and graduated from Emmett High School in 1965.  He went on to attend University of Idaho and received his bachelor’s degree from Boise State University in 1971.  He married his high school sweetheart, Ameila (Amy) Kay Henderson, in 1967.  In 1971 he enlisted in the Idaho Army National Guard 1st Squadron, 116th Armored Cavalry, where he was an Armorer.  He had qualifications for Marksman for Pistol, expert in Rifle, received an Idaho basic training ribbon, with device, served as a sergeant, and was a driver for the Adjutant.

His career consisted of working in construction, real estate, drafting, and building homes in Idaho, Alaska, Missouri, and Arizona.  He was a faithful and service-oriented man.  He served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as Bishop of 10th ward, Stapley, Arizona Stake from 1988 to 1993, as well as faithfully serving in various leadership and teaching callings throughout his life.

When he wasn’t hard at work, he was playing hard!  He enjoyed anything outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, riding horses, snow skiing, boating, and making memories with his family.  He was a man full of life, love, and service. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, teacher, jokester, leader, and friend to everyone he met.  His love of life and the outdoors will be carried on for generations to come.

He was preceded in death by his parents Udell Robison, Pearl Cheney Robison, his brother Leland Robison, and his nephew Clay Rudd. He is survived by wife Amelia (Amy) Henderson Robison; his older sister Geraldine Robison Rudd (Darrell); his children Tracie D. Robison Simmons, Brandi B. Robison Simmons (Scott), Ryan J. Robison (Tracy); his grandchildren Jacob Simmons (Alexa), Alexis Simmons Schuweiler (PJ), Coleton Simmons, Kenadee Simmons, Wyatt Tidwell, Makayla Simmons, Holden Simmons, Cedar (Shelby) Robison, Cade Robison, Sadie Robison, Chloe Robison, Abigail Robison; and his great grandchildren Patton Simmons, Scottie Simmons, Aspyn Schuweiler and Adelyn Schuweiler.

A viewing will be held Friday December 1, 2023, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Chapel.
Services will be Saturday December 2, 2023 with a viewing from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM and funeral service at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 8775 Sweet Ola Hwy, Sweet, Idaho.  

Graveside services will be on January 6, 2024 at Gilbert Memorial Park Cemetery & Funeral Home, 2100 E Queen Creek Rd, Gilbert Arizona.  A celebration of life will be followed immediately after, at the Simmons Residence.
