Sandy, Brett,Scott and those beautiful moms and babies, there was and ever will be one Darrell. His sense of humor kept us on our toes. When he gotcha there would be a tiny chuckle and smirk. Duane and I cherish every memory we have for our children’s “second parents”. All the youth activities were better for the four adults rather than the kids. He was a good man

Dear Sandy, I am so sorry to hear this! I have many fond memories of Darryll from Chapel Hill, school activities (especially band) and both of you being good mentors to our kids. Prayers to you, the boys, and your entire family.

My heart goes out to you Sandy, Brett, Scott and all of your family. Knowing that Jesus led Darrell into Heaven where he will never suffer again but will take on a new perfect body for all eternity gives me some peace and I hope it does for each of you too, as we will all gather together with him again when Christ takes us into paradise! Love to you all. Joy B

Darrell really was a special person that I had the pleasure to work with in his post retirement job in Michigan. It’s where he and Sandy worked and we got to be friends although I still get the spelling of his name wrong up until just now. Sorry Sandy! What always came through was the love that Darrell and Sandy shared with each other and the love they had for their children and grandchildren. I know they will all miss him very much. My deepest sympathy to all the family.
