Darius Ponce Miguel, 63, was called home to the Lord on December 26th, 2021 at 3 p.m. There to meet him are his parents Merito C. Miguel, Sr. and Carlida P. Miguel, Sr., and sister Vivica P. Miguel.

Darius was truly a special gift to all he interacted with. Generous, kind-hearted, humorous and fun, he brought constant joy to his friends, family, coworkers and dialysis patients. When thinking of Darius, you can’t help but to smile at a memory of him laughing at his own jokes or dancing and singing karaoke at a party. Whether entertaining his guests with a pitcher of margaritas, savoring a glass of whiskey or enjoying movies in his home theatre, he loved his life that he sacrificed so much to create here in America.

Even in the midst of his tragic ALS diagnosis on February 22nd, 2021, and although unable to enjoy the retirement he worked so hard for, he accepted the Lord’s will for him and his final moments on earth were a testament of that faith. Those who cared for him are humbled and honored to have helped him pass through Heaven’s Gates – which for Darius probably looks a lot like the beautiful beaches of Bolinao, Philippines that he grew up in. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marvenia M. Miguel, his only son Juan Alonzo M. Miguel, and daughter-in-law Sarah Miguel.
