Submit a PhotoColin Richard McCracken, 67, passed away on April 22, 2025 in Chandler, Arizona. He was the youngest of eight children born to Robert and Nora McCracken. Colin led a very happy life filled with family and friends. Colin loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, whether it was at the B.C. cabin, Maricopa, or at the family home. He was always up for horseback riding, side by siding, or snowmobiling. He never wanted to miss out on anything. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and many friends enjoying a good laugh and a cold beer.
In 1978, Colin married Sandy Rimmer and they were lucky to have celebrated 46 years together. In the many years spent together they built a beautiful life. Colin and Sandy enjoyed spending time on the family acreage with their many horses, traveling, and just being together. Colin will be missed greatly by his wife Sandy, his children, Curtis (Sadye), Candace (Kelly), and his four grandchildren, Hannah, Brynlee, Lincoln, and Lennox.
Please join us in celebrating a life full of love, laughter, and lasting memories on June 8th at 4:00pm at the MacKenzie Centre in Drayton Valley. A supper will be shared at 5:30pm, followed by live music as we gather in remembrance and celebration.

I am shocked… it will not be the same without Colin. I have known Colin since he was a young boy. Happy and Welcoming and Adventurous. I read all the comments so far agreed with every single one. We visited occasionally and it was like we never missed. I am so sorry for his family of which Colin was very, very proud.

Words cannot express the shock and heartbreak at losing Cole so suddenly and unexpectedly. He was the best friend, husband, dad, grandpa and brother-in-law ever. He kept us all in stitches with his humor and wit. He was the King of the Grill and treated family like royalty when we came to visit. He was always the first to offer help when help was needed. He was truly one-of-a-kind, so generous and loving. He will be terribly missed by his family, until that glorious day when we’re all reunited in heaven.
