Carol Farr passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 88. Carol was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was born on May 24, 1935, to Frank and Florence Ziron and was raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She attended Bassick High School from September 1949 – June 1953 and attended the University of Connecticut and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing on June 15, 1958.

Carol worked as an industrial nurse, office nurse, and hospital nurse at places such as General Dynamics at Vanderburg Airforce Base (AFB) in CA; and Avco Lycoming, Park City Hospital, and Bridgeport Hospital in Ct. After Carol retired, she made nursing visits to woman and children in need in CT with police escort. In AZ, she chose to volunteer to help local women in need through the Phoenix Rescue Mission and the Child Crisis Center. Her favorite job by far was working with newborns in the nursery and delivery departments. It was during her time at Vanderburg AFB where she met her devoted husband Mitchel Farr, whom she married on May 7, 1966, a marriage that lasted 58 loving years.

Carol grew up in Bridgeport, CT, and spent several years of her youth in CA in the late 1950/early 1960s before returning to CT to have and raise her two daughters. Carol spent the last 25 years in Chandler, AZ where she was known as an avid walker and lover of animals. Carol is a devout Christian woman who has attended Desert Gateway Baptist Church in Gilbert for the past 23 years.   She spent much of her later years lovingly caring for her grandchildren, her beloved Shih Tzu Sassy, her cats Mimi and Whiskers, and feeding and watching the many birds that visit her yard. She would always light up when she saw a baby, child, or animal.

Carol is preceded in death by her mother Florence, her father Frank, her doating older brother Frank Ziron III, and son Mitchel Jr, who died shortly after his birth. She is survived by her loving husband Mitchel Farr, her daughters Tammy Mitchell and Heather Farr, her sons-in-law Patrick Mitchell and Rick Sutkowski, and five loving grandchildren Tanner and Brandy Mitchell; and Minka, Maksym, and Marek Sutkowski. Carol was the most caring and attentive mother and grandmother; her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and they will carry on her legacy.
