Breanna Saree Pequeno was born on March 19, 2003, in Phoenix, Arizona, to parents Ray Pequeno and Jennifer (Lorta) Avila. Breanna was called home on Wednesday, February 22, at the age of 19.

Breanna will be lovingly and forever remembered by her father, Ray Pequeno, her mother, Jennifer Avila, stepfather Misael Avila, her brothers, Malakai and Matthias, and her sister Evie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Pequeno.

Breanna was a sweet and selfless young lady who did all she could to ensure those closest to her were always happy. She loved music, fashion, the beach, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends, but most of all, she loved her brothers and sister. She was kind and loving, bringing joy and happiness to everyone who knew her.

She had a passion for helping others and positively impacting the world. So it is fitting that in her last selfless act on earth, she continued to help others by being an organ donor. Through her generosity, Breanna can give the gift of life to those in need. Her organs and tissue will touch countless others, providing hope and healing to those who were once struggling. It is comforting to know that her legacy will live on through the lives she has saved and improved.

Our hearts are beyond broken. Breanna, it has been a privilege and a true blessing to have you in our lives, and we are grateful for every moment we spent with you. You will be forever missed, and your memory will live on in our hearts.

We take comfort in knowing that you are now in the arms of our Lord, free of the troubles of this world. But, until the day we are reunited, we will miss you dearly and hold you close in our hearts. We love you, sweet Breanna.

Breanna’s services and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Gilbert Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2100 E. Queen Creek Road, Gilbert, AZ 85297. The Public Viewing will begin at 11:00 am, with the Celebration of Life service following at 12:00 pm. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home at the address provided.  You are welcome to use your own choice of florist or utilize Crismon’s Flowers at 480-964-4595.  https://www.mesaazflowershop.com/

My heart ❤️ goes out to the family and friends. I’d like to share a Letter from Heaven.
“I would have loved to have stayed here on this earth just one more day,
For it broke my heart to leave you here alone,
But God whispered softly in my ear and said “my child, it’s time,”
Then He took my hand in His and led me home.
We journeyed up above the stars just beyond the moon,
Where very soon we came to Heaven’s gate,
I was welcomed by all who’d gone before with open arms,
As the Angels they all sang Amazing Grace.
But God couldn’t help but notice I kept looking back towards earth,
    Wondering if you were okay,
Then He laid His hand upon my shoulder and said
“Remember child, you’ll just be one memory away.”
So if today the pain seems overwhelming,
Please look into your heart for there you’ll find,
My love for you will always be there, For when I left I left my love behind,
The good times that we shared, The laughter and the tears,
Every second of every single day,
    Will all be there,
    Held safely in your heart,
Until we meet again at Heaven’s gate, And until then…
I’ll just be one memory away.”
