Braden Scott Kimball – Born in Mesa Arizona June 21, 2006 and quietly passed, surrounded by his family, on December 22, 2023.

Braden is survived by his loving parents Drew and Tanya Kimball, sister Hallie (Tex Wilcock) and brothers Jack and Grahm Kimball; grandparents, Jeff and Tracy Kimball and John and Tammy Myers. Preceded in death by great grandparents Sy and Betty Kimball, John “Jack” and Marjorie Myers, Stephen Slack and John Cancel.

Braden was a friend to everyone, whether three years old or 93. He cherished relationships and invested time and effort to build up those around him.

Braden’s happy place was boating at Lake Powell or Saguaro Lake. Wake surfing was his passion and he was an amazing surfer. Pounding music and effortless moves always brought a huge smile to his face. He especially liked to ride tandem with young cousins clutching his legs. His tender heart loved babies and kids of every age.

He was a dedicated employee and driven to earn and save his money. He considered himself more street smart than school smart, but had actually planned to graduate a year early from high school at the end of this school year. He was driven by goals, thinking outside the box and recently purchased his own car and made the payments himself. What seventeen-year-old buys his own car, let alone a Performance Tesla?

Braden designed and created his own casual t-shirt line. He named it after his own style, FLAIR. It was the perfect branding as it represented everything about Braden, from his hair and sunglasses to his shoes and even how he wakesurfed. Braden did everything with flair. Each drop quickly sold out to the dismay of family and friends who missed out.

He planned to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after graduation. Recently he even commented that he could only get a fresh fade with etching once more before his missionary photo. If you knew Braden, you knew that his hair was a priority.

He was always open to help others. During the summer of 2021 he went to Brunswick, Georgia as a humanitarian service volunteer to paint and improve the first school that African Americans were able to attend during segregation. He did the same the next summer, helping rebuild and repair homes in a low-income coal mining community of West Virginia. Both weeks were actually his birthday week.

Braden loved shoes. He bought, sold and amassed quite a personal collection of Nike.

He loved baseball, especially Dodger baseball.

He loved Utah snow and had gotten into boarding, in addition to skiing.

He loved food—from king crab to Chipotle for days.

He loved his dogs, Rusty and Rita, and even called them adorable almost daily.

Braden loved life!

Love like BK
